BACK OUR FOSTER DOGS

Welcome to the Emergency Room, a new feature of the Great Lakes Border Collie Rescue website. Here we feature the foster dogs who aren't quite ready for adoption yet because they need special medical attention. If you ever wondered where your adoption fees and donations were going, this is the place. Many of these dogs have had significant medical treatment, so any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Teddie

Hank has undergone surgery to remove his injured eye, but don’t feel too sorry for him! Well OK you can feel a little sorry for him, he had major surgery after all.   All has gone well and he should be recovered and back to normal in no time, ready for his new forever home. His sutures will come out in after 10 days.

Rest assured the loss of his right eye will in no way make him less of a dog.  Hank will still be the gentle, sweet, happy boy he is now.  Please check back soon for updates on Hank’s recovery. Hank says "Thanks!" for all of the well wishes for a quick and speedy recovery. (read more)
