You could say Buddy
was the beginning of MIBCR/GLBCR. He was a stray from the Shiawassee
County Humane Society and on his last day! A friend saw him on the noon
news and called Patty, our GLBCR President. That was her "calling" to
rescue Border Collies, since he was her first real rescue. He sure is a
sweet dog, and she was so sad to see him go. 05/96 |

Taz, aka tornado with teeth, was not a
Border Collie at all. He is an unknown mix. Long story, but we ended up
with him anyway. He now has a great home and a boy to play with. The boy
and his dad adopted both Taz and his best friend Buddy, above. |

Buddy 2 took a while to find the
right home, but it finally came along. Now he'll get all the love and
attention he deserves. |

Jane was dumped off one fall as a 3 month
old puppy and left to fend for herself. She was feral; even Animal
Control tried to get her with a dart gun and couldn't. A GLBCR Angel
started going to her hangout 2 - 3 X a day with food and to spend some
time just talking to her. After about 10 days Jane came to her and the
Angel grabbed her! Then she got lucky!
Jane now resides in N.E. Michigan and is just what her family was looking
for :-) |

Can you believe someone got these sweet darling pups, kept them a couple of months then sent them to the
pound? These little girls came from the Gratiot County Animal
Shelter. |

Haley is a very sweet little 4 month old
female Border Collie/Lab mix. She went to a terrific new home on a horse
farm where she's getting full time attention and mom's grandkids to play
with her. Suzy had been dumped off at a farm on a freezing cold windy
winter night. She's one lucky little girl! Her picture does not do her
justice at all. 0399 |

Ivy is a very lucky puppy that was picked
up as a stray in Wooster OH. She wasn't given much time at the shelter,
but an angel saved her. She's really happy now, because she has a great
new family, and they were custom made for each other. 0599 |

Sadie was turned in to rescue because her
owners moved and didn't have enough time for her anymore. Well she
doesn't have to worry about that now! She's being spoiled at the
lakeshore in Chicago and is well known for her goofiness in her big-city
neighborhood. Her new mom and dad love her dearly and welcome all those
hugs and kisses that Sadie has to give. Sadie was later joined by another
GLBCR rescue, Norman (HT 9)
