Zoey 10-16-04 We just wanted to tell you how we just love Zoey. She competed in her first disc dog competition October 31st and was just fabulous. She took 5th place in the novice division with 17.5 points and she beat both our veteran dogs. She is so quick and smart. We are going to start training this winter for freestyle. (That's where you and your dog do tricks together and throw the disc to music.) 8/17/2005 Our pack's relationships continue to improve. We can leave them all in the back yard together pretty much unsupervised for longer and longer periods [we are always nearby but out of site]. We have traveled with her and the 2 labs without any problems. We all have slept together in our travel trailer without any major problems. She has come such a very long way since we first got her. |

Everyone thinks that she is amazing and good looking. She knows many tricks and can flip, stand on my back, vault off my back to a height of about 5-1/2 feet off the ground, and do a reverse flip off my chest. I have been teaching her to kick step like in dog dancing but that has a ways to go. She now has her own business cards. 10/27/2005 |

Skippy 11-03-04
12-2-04 Thank goodness Skippy had her blue circle microchip tag on her collar, because we didn't get her name tag before our trip. She got away from us, though didn't go far. She had an interesting time at one of the girls apartments---there are metal steps and she could see thru them but she figured out if she walked on the edge where it was solid, she could very gingerly get down!!!! She didn't like the female dogs, but was ok with the males. And of course she liked all the grandkids!! And they liked her!! She's a great traveler and was content to lie in the back seat of the truck, putting her head on the console or on our shoulders. She was as glad to get home as we were!! When we were eating supper last night, she went to the basket of toys and took out her bone for the first time since she's been here!! She has an incredible sense of smell and talks to us. She looks right into our eyes and tries to communicate. We've said over and over how glad we are that she was rescued. We have been singing the praises of Border Collie rescue, and several people have expressed interest. |

Domino (Rufus) 11-08-04 He really is a great dog and we are enjoying him! He seems very
eager to please. He loves to be around people - Tessa and I just came
in the office to be on the computers and he came in here to lie down
(even though he was pretty comfortable in the family room!). He already
has claimed an area of the couch as his own. The thing I was concerned
about was how he and the cat would get along, but as I am sure Glenn
already told you, no worries there. Isabelle hasn't even hissed at him
once, and this morning I saw her rub her head on his head. I think she
is bummed that Domino won't play with her, but at least they are
getting along. |

Nessa
Is a 5 month old intact female Border Collie Mix (unsure what she could be mixed with). She is still quite shy and it takes her a little while to warm up to strangers. She is on her way to being potty trained. No accidents since Sunday night of last week. YES!! She loves running on the golf course full throttle but does well with her recall. She loves to snuggle and is very good for baths. |

Lindsay
Lindsay came to us as an 11th hour rescue out of a shelter. Her time was almost up and the folks there loved her so, they pleaded with us to come get her. And thank goodness that we did, because she is such a fine dog! She is about 2 years old. She is gentle and loving and has excellent house manners. She is patient when we have to leave, staying on our enclosed porch where her crate is. She doesn't bark excessively or chew things she shouldn't. I guess you would say, we think the world of her. She is definitely a mix - but hard to say what breeds, though we think there is some border collie because of her sweet temperament and her silky coat, as well as her size: @ 47 lbs. We haven't seen her around small children yet, but around other adults and dogs she seems fine. She is getting to know the basic commands: Sit, Come, Shake, Heel (she is catching on to taking walks nicely). She is very alert and eager to learn. Her most endearing trait is her smile. Yes, she smiles at us, especially when we come in the door, or she is happy; it is so endearing we have to hug her! Lindsay would be a wonderful family pet. 11-24-04 Things are going great! Lindsay is completely spoiled already! I'm so glad that she liked us. She is getting very good at playing catch with a tennis ball, loves to pull on the rope, and is thinking about the Frisbee. We've been working on learning 'lay' and continuing on 'heel'. She is doing very well. I'm so glad we looked into your rescue. I just can't say enough about her. |

Boden
Boden has the sweetest personality. He loves to lay his head (and usually his front paws) in my lap, while being brushed. He's alert and ready for action, in a moment's notice, yet can be loveable and calm when asked. Boden is leash trained to heel, whoa, sit, and down. He is eager to learn, makes eye contact, and loves training time, as well as play. He loves children, other dogs (big or small), and likes to fling and scoot empty water jugs. We play tug games with towels, but haven't had much practice with the fetch and give routine when tossing tennis balls. While I'm away, he mostly likes to lay under the trees and watch nature. He will get in the car, stay in the back seat, and behave just fine, without barking or jumping around. Boden is crate trained and housebroken. |
