Apache had a new home with a nice guy, but it just didn't work out. He came back in to rescue, and he stayed right with his foster mom, another very important GLBCR volunteer! Ursula and her family just love him, and he's now a very happy boy. There he is swimming at our annual picnic! 0900

Dennis is another foster dog that came to stay. He, too, came to us completely unsocialized. In Diane's loving care, Dennis has become a happy boy who romps with his bc brother and Bernese Mtn. Dog sister. GLBCR sure is blessed to be associated with such wonderful people! 1000 X

Logan is a big beautiful handsome young fella, and as gentle as can be. He has filled the empty heart of his mom and dad. He's a good helper to his mom. Logan was the first of the feral litter to be rescued. 1000

Callie was the only girl from the feral litter we rescued. Isn't she beautiful? So much so that her foster mom and GLBCR board member decided she was home to stay. :-) Callie LOVES flyball. A long way from the scared little girl she once was. 1000 X

Moss was the last of the litter of pups we rescued this summer. He was the only black & white one out of 6 feral pups who required lots of extra work and socialization. He went to Toronto and is going to be a flyball dog!

10/21/2005 You'll be happy to know that Moss is doing very well and has recently received his Onyx Pin in Fly ball after successfully hitting the 25,000 point mark. Don't ask me what this means. I just pay the gas bill that Moss, sister Bailey and my wife rack up traveling all over the Province of Ontario and other points of destinations for flyball tournaments. Moss continues to have issues with strangers unless said human or K9 comes complete with a tennis ball or Frisbee. Then its Game on! He'll even tolerate our 2 yr old son provided the boy possesses the fuzzy green rubber sphere of euphoria to satisfy the monkey on his back. Moss is loved very much and I believe very happy to be part of our family. We monitor the GLBCR web site on a regular basis and may one day expand on our Happy Family.

Buoy came from Muskegon Co. Animal Control. He wasn't exactly what we were expecting, but there he was! He waited a long time for his new mom and dad to finally find him. It was worth the wait for him, though, because he is going to be spoiled to pieces just like he deserves to be. His new mom and dad named him Buoy because of the way he bobs when he runs :-) Here's a picture of Buoy on his first day home. 1000

Chelsea    1100

10/20/2007 We adopted Chelsea in 2000. She has since participated in 4-H agility and obedience. She won high point dog in 2003. Obedience was not a strong point because she loves to visit people. In 2002 she was certified as a therapy dog and loves visiting the local nursing home.

Chelsea does not accept that she is a dog. When the other dogs are put outside Chelsea just looks as if to say "Dogs belong outside". She is a real treasure.

Haley is a lucky little BC/Sheltie mix about 10 months old when she ended up in the City of Chicago animal shelter. Named after the comet on her nose! :-) Cayla & Patty went there to pick up a couple of other bc's, and Patty couldn't leave little Haley behind -- so she came too! She's stolen the heart of her new mom and dad. She has a big beautiful back yard to run around in and is generally being spoiled as a pretty little girl should be. 1100 X

Shelby was born in a shelter and spent the first 6 months of his life there. When he was rescued, he barely knew how to walk and was overwhelmed by everything. What a way to start! He has a wonderful new home in Jackson, MI with a sheltie brother, a collie grandpa, and two new parents who give him all the love, attention & tennis balls he could ever want. :-) He is a very lucky boy to have such a mom and dad who are doing all they can to give this boy the life he deserves. 1200

Belle from Indiana lost her family because her mom got sick. But thanks to some wonderful people, she's now living up north in Mich. with a very nice family, and is going to learn agility in 4H. What a lucky little girl.  1200 X
