X Molly is a young BC/Lab mix about 10 months old. She was adopted at the shelter as a pup, returned, adopted and returned...Molly got a wonderful home in Chicago with a BC brother, and her new dad. Yea Molly! 0601

X Paddy is about 1 year old. Cute and intelligent. Loves to play ball, frisbee. Good with children and cats. Paddy now has a very active home with a special GLBCR family to keep her busy. 0701

Suzy Boy did Suzy luck out! After being relinquished in a divorce, then bounced around to a couple of different homes, Suzy came into GLBCR ready for lovin'! She's in a great home with Wally & Liz who will spoil her to pieces, and she's looking forward to riding shotgun in Wally's truck!

Update: "I knew that I must write to say THANK YOU, GREAT LAKES BORDER COLLIE RESCUE TEAM, for being there when needed. Without you, I wouldn't have my seventh daughter. The first ones are married now and with this one, we will be able to keep going so my wife and I will be able to see the other six. Besides my wife says that now Suzi keeps me out of her hair and for this she is so thankful. Even though she is the one who takes her to the vet and the groomer, when needed. So, before I get carried away, may I add my THANK YOU to all of you for being there."

I know that Suzi has made life around here much more enjoyable. I also know that she has taught me about things, that we humans forgot long long ago. We now have small friends around this area that look forward to seeing her and putting up with the guy who brings her around. As for her guardian I know this, that Suzi has made our life more enjoyable, and the list is so great that only a dog owner could complete. I also know that GLBCR is doing a good part in this area. This I do know, is that Suzi being nine years old and being in five different homes, that this is the one that will see her to the end, and with a little luck that will be a long ways away. X Zoë (aka Miss Wiggles) is the sweetest little two-year-old BC you could ever meet. She's very affectionate, and will wiggle her little body over to anyone who wants to give her a petting. She LOVES children of all ages, and is now lucky enough to be living with family that has 6 of them! Here she is with one of her pals. It's hard to tell who looks happier, Zoë or Veronica... 0701

X Colby came from a shelter in Indiana.... He's kind of a laid back guy, doesn't really care much about toys, but he sure loves attention and to be with his family. Colby gets to go to the cottage on a lake, ride on a pontoon every weekend in the summer! He's the only child of adoring parents - to spoil him as he should be. 0601

Rodeo came from a shelter in Lake County that cared enough to find our rescue. He's now happily living with a family who's adopted from GLBCR before! "Rodeo is not much for classes ;-), but he is probably the most lovable, sweet tempered dog I've ever had. We love them both so much and they have added so much to our lives. Thank you to everyone at GLBCR for bringing us all together." Rodeo loves his sister Skye, another GLBCR rescue; we're happy to see Rodeo so happy.

UPDATE (09/03): We have had him for about 2 years now and absolutely adore him. He enjoys the other 2 border collies my daughter has. 0701

X Mitzi is probably a Border Collie/Spaniel Mix (Sporder Collie?). Mitzi has a very important job as a GLBCR Ambassador! She accompanies her mom on home visits to adopters, serving as a "BC Tolerance Test." Because she's such an affectionate little rascal and barks with an crisp British accent, applicants inevitably fall for her. But who wouldn't love a face like that? 0801

Shayna is a beautiful little girl, about 1.5 years old, 25# and 16". She has a beautiful curly coat in the traditional black and white. Shayna is a countryside-loving girl, loves to run and play in fields. It took a long time for her to overcome her fears, but now she has a great home with Dad Rick and her BC brother. 0801

X Patches is an absolute sweetheart who was left at the Chicago pound. He has a great new family in Illinois and should be learning High Five very soon. 0801
