JIGMeet Jig , she's approximately six months old and has her whole life ahead of her. We don't know much about her history, other than she and her brother Dash were at an animal control facility and they were on borrowed time. She seems to be a bit hand shy at first, and tries to hide when long handled things like brooms and shovels are picked up. Luckily her curiosity usually gets the best of her and she's willing to investigate. She is good with kids and especially enjoys the company of another dog in the house. She's a rough and tumble gal with other dogs, she loves to chase and be chased and runs with a smile on her face. She'll need more socialization around people but she's young and will learn quickly. She loves to be scratched behind her ears and although timid at first she is getting better in only a few weeks. This gal LOVES to go for walks around the neighborhood. She doesn't pull and is a very nice walking companion. She is a bit clownish- when she came into us as a foster she didn't like her crate at all and cried the first night. Now she has to be coaxed to come out of it- she puts her favorite toys in there and sleeps like a baby through the night. Due to her her less than pleasant past she will need a person (or family) who can make the commitment of time, patience and structure that she will need to fully learn to trust people again. She promises it will be worth your while. |

DASHDash and his sister Jig have very little known history prior to entering the shelter. They appear to be about 6 months old. Dash is definitely the more adventurous of the two. As he spends more time in my home, his lovable personality is starting to emerge. He soaks up every bit of attention we are willing to lavish upon him. He has gotten along with everyone: canine, kids, and adults. He is not completely house trained, but has only had one accident since coming here, he will need a home that will continue this training. He is anxious to please and treat motivated so with an obedience class he should make an excellent pet. At this point I am not seeing high energy levels, but he has not been in my house long enough for this to be an accurate determination. Dash's most unusual characteristic is that he has one pale blue eye, and one brown eye. He loves to be petted and easily rolls over for a belly rub. So if you have lots of love to give Dash will make a great addition to your home. |
