Peppermint Patty is very sweet and huggable with that incredibly soft fur. Although she loves playing with her 3 foster siblings, she really wants to cuddle with her person. I think she secretly prefers to be a lap dog. Recently spayed, Peppermint Patty is ready to begin her new journey with a new family. With a bit more training and guidance, this girl is going to be a lifetime gem!

She knows her basic commands and is treat-motivated. With that treat incentive, she is willing to do anything you want. If overly stimulated, Peppermint Patty can be a little grabby, but can also be quickly corrected and redirected. She has learned to watch your eyes and wait for her food and wait in her crate until given the release command.

Being a puppy, she has lots of energy but is also willing to chew on Nylabones or other toys by herself. She will play tug but is not a big ball retriever; I think it might be different if she was not distracted by 3 other dogs. Peppermint Patty LOVES other dogs and LOVES water! She is a great watchdog.

Isn't it time to start YOUR journey with your new best friend?

FOSTER DOG: PEPPERMINT PATTY

Story: Relinquished at 6 months because she was jumping and mouthing at her family members. She was also herding and knocking down the children in her home. Peppermint Patty did pass her puppy training.

Gender: Female, unaltered (if adopted prior to 10/4, must go on a spay contract)

Coat / Markings: Long, soft, luxurious fur; black with white chest and white on all 4 paws; her left paw has a short, white strip with black freckles running up the inside about 6 inches; white tipped tail; brown eyes; black nose; thick ears that usually droop, double dew claws on both back legs.

Personality: Sweet, loving, biddable, snuggly once she bonds, can be a little stubborn, can be impulsive (working on that at her foster home).

Water: LOVES LOVES LOVES (pool, pond, lake, water fountain, hose, more more more).
