In Cayla's former life, she worked in Venture Capital and as a CFO, then left it all behind to pursue her passions for travel, yoga and Border Collies (not always in that order). Her husband, who previously led a relatively uncomplicated dog-less life, has been unwittingly lured into world of Border Collie fanaticism.
Cayla has been involved with dogs and humane associations her entire life, working at shelters in Philadelphia, Indiana, California, Montreal, Chicago, and Italy. She is also active in the campaign against puppy mills. (For more info visit www.nopuppymills.com.)
"My first Border Collie, Trixie, was adopted from the Chicago Pound in 1997 -- I didn't even know what a Border Collie was. Trixie just seemed like an awfully cute black and white dog.
