Kathy's Mandy clears the rails.
"I got my first Border Collie, Mandy, as soon as I bought my own house. She opened my eyes to a whole new world I never knew existed. Soon after, we got Rider, and the two of them have taught me more than I knew I needed to learn! It became immediately clear to me what special animals they were, and my heart went out to the others in need of shelter, love, and guidance. So, in July of 1999, I volunteered for MI-BCR (prior to it's growth into GLBCR). Patty ensured my first foster experience would get me hooked by giving me Trim, a wonderful dog who now does goose control work. We (Mark, my very understanding husband and I) have fostered several others since, including a couple we regret ever letting go. Currently, we play flyball with Canine Express, and this is really Mandy's and Rider's passion. We have also dabbled in agility."
