Update: Alette was adopted in January, 2003. Alette was one of Haleigh's puppies, and you can see her with her littermates in the photo below:
Alette was adopted by the same
family who adopted Akira. We received the following updates from her new family:
They write: Alette is a
little fire cracker keeping Annie on all fours. She is a
smart pup; she will cuddle with Akira, yet rough house with
Annie. Akira acts like a Mom, watching over Alette when
they play. If Annie gets overly playful, Akira will step in
to scold. We see more of Akira outside of her crate an into
the open with Alette being here. So the theory I had about
bring a pup in for Akira is working or just dumb luck. I
would like to think we were right. 
3-5-03 Alette finished puppy classes, receiving her
first Diploma, and also won a prize...a stuffed toy. Alette
continues to be a clown playing with Annie. She plays hide
and seek with Annie, usually running under Annie's long
legs, before being detected, and hides under a bush. She is
not yet tall enough to hop into bed but when that happens I
guess we will have our own 3 Dog Nite group.
9-11-03 Alette is growing up and already thinking about
Drivers Training. There goes our insurance rates.
