Update: Jobey was adopted in February, 2004. We received the following update from his new family: "I wanted to update you on our guy, Jobey. He has settled in well and eats like a horse. After about three weeks he decided that he really lives here and is making the house his own. He developed a problem with chewing furniture, but I think we have that solved. Being a "country guy" I don't think he realized it was wrong. He also knows now that every time we leave, we come back! He has taken to herding our cats on a real low level and they being very "Border wise" ignore him. We went for our longest car ride today and he realized he could watch out the window. He is relaxing. Our next challenge to overcome is that he is now our only dog. We lost my 16 year old Border yesterday, and Jobey seems to know how bad I feel. He hasn't let me out of his sight. Thanks for helping us find a sweetheart of a dog. Borders are simply the best."
