Update: Katrina was adopted in December, 2005, and is now known as Kat.
We received the following update in April, 2006: "Kat adapted to our family with relative ease. She
was totally silent for the first month and we wondered if
he knew how to bark. She does. She is an amazing dog. She
and Jake our Golden Retriever have become best friends.
They love to play tag and run laps around the yard. She is
very sweet and loving to everyone. She loves to play ball
and can catch it in mid air most of the time.
"I recently had to move my dad into a nursing home. It
was a very difficult decision. I have been bringing Kat
with me to visit. She loves her new job and behaves as if
she were a trained therapy dog. When the residents see her
coming their eyes light up. She sits quietly and lets them
pet her and tell her how beautiful she is. She is
incredible!! We are lucky to have her."
