Nate's foster home has become his forever home - he was adopted in November, 2010. Congratulations, Nate and Rebecca!
Nate is a fun young guy who is recently neutered. He has a lot of energy and looks to be a Border Collie mixed with Labrador Retriever. He is a smart dog who knows how to sit and has learned how to "wait" before he gets out of the car. Nate has gotten along well with all of the other new dogs he has met. He should have a home with a fenced yard as he is still working on responding to his name when called. Nate is still working on setting his teeth so he will need plenty of appropriate chew toys so that he does not chew on household items. Nate should be taken to dog training classes so that he can continue to learn how to walk on a leash and other basic commands. He is a really sweet dog who would be a wonderful family pet. Nate can swim and is working on consistently fetching a tennis ball. Nate can jump fairly high when he is excited and would probably be best around older children so that in his excitement he does not knock a small child down.
